Dec 31, 2015 · The problem is that the concrete slab settled and is pitch in. Its about an inch out, i would like to cut and chip the slab in front of the door and then skim coat it. But since it is exterior I’m worried about it blowing apart. I was wondering if anyone has tried grinding down that much concrete.

I got resurfacing (grind, level, epoxy coat) estimates from $4.50 to $7.50 per square foot. Anyone have experience and advice about grinding concrete floors?

I have an old Ryobi angle grinder but wondering if variable speed would be good to control the grinding and the dust collection. The Makita has a bit more power too.
